Phoenix, AZ is about to witness an incredible, never-before-seen event for classic car collectors, as part of the 50th anniversary of the Phoenix International Raceway. This November 6th, the PIR, Barrett-Jackson, and The Phoenix Symphony are all joining together to create the ultimate celebration
Barrett-Jackson will be taking the wheel to orchestrate a “Pit Road” street festival as the opening to the entire event. All of 3rd street in downtown Phoenix will be taken over and turned into a car-lovers dream, featuring 30 rare cars from the Barrett-Jackson collection, including a 2008 Bugatti Veyron, a ‘65 Shelby Cobra CSX 600 Series 427 S/C, and much more.
There will be a red-carpet party as part of the day’s events, featuring a VIP experience where guests will enjoy the chance to meet some of NASCAR’s biggest celebrities, all while enjoying fantastic food, specialty cocktails, and the chance to bid on rare items at a silent auction.
The culmination of the day’s events will be “The Sound of Speed”, a concert at Symphony Hall conducted by Larry Blank. The event will be an immersion for guests in a total multimedia experience, and will feature road-related hits, as NASCAR Hall-of-famer Rusty Wallace guest-conducts. The night will also feature the “Dukes of Hazzard” star, Tom Wopat. Guests of the concert will receive complimentary admittance to the “Pit Road” prior to the show.
