Since this year marks the 50th anniversary of the legendary brand of Lamborghini, it seems they keep trying to outdo themselves with big news and amazing events as the year progresses.
In September of this year, the Frankfurt Motor Show will help Lamborghini top off its anniversary year with a brand new concept design replacement for the current Lamborghini Gallardo. The new model is rumored to be call the Cabrera.
Lamborghini says this new supercar will be available for purchase later in 2014, and will consist of a lightweight carbon-fiber and aluminum structure that will keep it aerodynamic, as well as luxurious. The structure of the car will only weigh 430 lbs, an amazingly light frame to go underneath a car is sure to be one of the fastest on the market.
The power behind the new Cabrera will be dependent on a 5.2 V10 engine that will get up to 600 horsepower and over 400 lbs per foot of torque. The car will be operated by a six-speed manual transmission or the option of a dual clutch transmission, and there is also the potential for rear-wheel drive, although the final design has not been determined.
