The world of classic cars is always exciting and with some recent auction sales, it’s easy to see that there has never been a better time to start looking. Below, we’ll go over some cars recently sold at auction on BringaTrailer.com.

1971 Land Rover 109 Series III Diesel

1971 land roverA rugged classic, the 1971 Land Rover shines with a striking profile. Finished in gray with black upholstery, it features utility-based add-ons for a capable vehicle for any situation. These utility features include a hood-mounted spare tire, 16-inch steel wheels, split windshield, and fender-mounted mirrors with a refinished grille and front bumper.

On the inside, the vehicle has a split-front bench seat trimmed in stark black vinyl, with floor and side panels finished in orange. The odometer and other key gauges are Jaeger instruments. To ensure a smooth ride on any tough journey, it features a Britpart steering stabilizer and shocks and a 2.25-liter diesel engine. Recently replaced components include shocks, bushings, steering damper, drag link, ball joints, shifter boot, ignition switch, and turn signal switch.

The seller stated that their mother originally bought the vehicle in Austria, and it has traveled all over Hungary, making it a worldwide classic. It was sold at auction for $26,750.

Ringbrothers 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback 408ci 5-Speed

mustang fastbackThe Mustang Fastback is an effortlessly cool vehicle. This one was built by Ringbrothers in 2004 and refreshed in 2018. Finished in metallic gray over black leather upholstery, the inside showcases Recaro bucket seats, Vintage Air climate control, power windows, Nertz speakers, and Stewart-Warner instrumentation. Completing the outside is a carbon fiber roof and hood and billet accents have been fitted and equipment includes Integra Racing coilovers, multi-piece Forgeline wheels, Baer disc brakes, and an Edelbrock intake manifold.

Exported to Canada in 2022, additional work included re-trimming the trunk, replacing the center console, adjusting the throwout bearing, replacing the clutch slave cylinder, and installing Holley Sniper EFI and Hyperspark ignition systems, a Sony touchscreen infotainment system, and a carbon fiber MOMO steering wheel. As a completely rebuilt piece, it boasts the feel of a new car with the look of a classic one.

To complete its look with a smooth ride it also features Ringbrothers Forgeline wheels as well as the rack-and-pinion power steering setup and Integra Racing coilover shocks all around. The car sold at auction for an astounding $145,000.

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe

chevrolet camaroOne of the original proposed names for the Camaro was “the Panther.” This early name points to its timeless sleek look and impressively fast but smooth ride. Finished in bright green, the cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that have been reupholstered in black vinyl to contrast beautifully with the bright outer paint. The car is equipped with SS badging, an RS-style grille, front and rear spoilers, 14″ Rally wheels, and front disc brakes as well as a center console, an aftermarket digital stereo, an aluminum radiator, and a Holley four-barrel carburetor.

Alongside front bucket seats and a rear bench seat, the cabin is upholstered in a sleek black vinyl. The inside is further augmented with Instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and an analog clock. Four auxiliary gauges mounted to the center console provide readouts for battery charge, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure, ensuring that all elements of the car’s health can quickly be seen.

Refurbishments over the years have included the removal and powder coating of the front subframe, the front suspension was overhauled, a front sway bar was installed, the rear leaf springs were replaced, and Bilstein rear shocks were installed. Additionally, according to the previous owner, the 327ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt in 2019 and is topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. 

The car sold at auction for $41,969.

One-Owner 1981 Pontiac Firebird Turbo Trans Am Project

1981 pontiac firebirdIn the world of auction cars, it can be hard to find one that has been entirely with a single owner. However, this beauty of a 1981 Pontiac Firebird is just that. Reportedly bought new by the seller’s father, it features a gorgeous Dark Maroon Metallic finish over Camel Tan vinyl and cloth. Powered by a turbocharged 301 ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential, it provides a tough but smooth ride for car aficionados.

Inside instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. Finer details finishing the outside include Firebird hood graphics as well as a front spoiler, a rear spoiler, and painted mirror caps. The gold-finished 15″ Turbo wheels add to its classy look.

As with every great vehicle, there may be some minor issues, and this one does have some smoking when running and a turbocharger and exhaust system that requires servicing. This is a perfect find for someone looking to recharge a vehicle to its former glory.

The car sold at auction for $7,000.
