Are you an Elvis fan? Now is your chance to have the ultimate Elvis collectors item to add to your stash. Elvis’ personal Rolls-Royce Phantom V Limousine is going up on the block at the Quail Lodge Auction in Carmel, California on August 15th.
The Phantom V Touring model has a 6.2 Liter V-8 engine under the hood, offers 200 horsepower, and reaches a maximum speed of 100 mph. Elvis Presley owned this car for around five years, during the prime of his fame, and donated it to the SHARE charity in 1968.
SHARE auctioned the car off for $35,000 then, and in the 40 years that have passed since then, the car has been through a full restoration, been in a museum, and had a large quantity of engine work performed on it.
The car is currently a beautiful shade of light silver-blue, reportedly repainted after Presley’s mother’s chickens pecked holes in the original midnight blue paint job.
