The car that has been dubbed as “The Honeymoon Car” is about to be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson’s last event of the year. The Honeymoon Car was one of the many Cadillacs in a collection owned by Elvis Presley, and the nickname was given to it as this was the car he and Priscilla used as their everyday driver following their marriage in May of 1967.
The car was sold to another family in 1979 and has been owned by them ever since then, so the condition of the car is bound to be top-notch. The car will go up on the block at this year’s Las Vegas auction, and speculations are being made that it will be among the most valuable of those sold at the auction.
Barrett-Jackson says the car is “presented in all original condition with the exception of one recent repaint in the original shade of red,” and the car will come with an original sales receipt which was signed by Elvis, with the State of Tennessee title search paperwork.
