A Celebration of Automotive Art and Design
The Carmel Artomobilia takes place August 28-29, 2015 – a collaborative effort of the City of Carmel, Indiana, the Carmel Arts and Design District, and a group of classic car collectors that draws attention to automotive art and design while showcasing the beauty of Carmel. Popular with car enthusiasts nationwide, this year’s Artomobilia has expanded to a pair of exciting events and is expected to draw nearly 400+ participating collector cars and 15,000 attendees.

Art Lovers and Car Enthusiasts Collide
In an effort to expand the Artomobilia’s appeal as a destination for automotive art and design, a special gathering kicks off the two-day celebration on Friday night. The all-new Fuelicious: A Celebration of Wheels + Wishes is an exclusive evening of relaxed elegance featuring 50 distinct collector cars on the grounds of the Lucas Estate, inspiring art lovers and car enthusiasts alike to show support for a worthy cause, the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund.
A Half Mile of Beautiful Cars
On Saturday, a half-mile section of the streets in the heart of the Carmel Arts and Design district hosts a concours-style car event featuring classic cars, local artists and businesses. Come and see original classic car icons parked side by side with their modern reincarnations. Perennial fan favorites include the 1978 King Cobra Mustang, the Ford GT, 1967 Toronado, and the ever popular “DeLorean Row”.
Pontiac GTO to be Honored
This year, the Artomobilia pays homage to the original Muscle Car, the Pontiac GTO. Beginning with a 1964 Pontiac GTO, attendees are treated to a visual walk through the history of this American classic all the way through to the revival editions produced in 2004-2006.
Keeping the Passion Alive
The Artomobilia is bringing attention to the “Next Generation” of classic car owners by spotlighting enthusiasts who are 18 years of age or younger. Encouraging these young adults will help keep the passion alive in the classic car world.
Carroll Shelby – Visionary
One of the featured attractions this year is cars influenced by legendary automotive designer Carroll Shelby. Known for his design contributions to the Ford Shelby Mustang GT 350 and GT 500 among others, Shelby helped create some of the best loved cars being collected to date.
