Rick Drewry, I’m with Classic Auto Insurance at Detroit Autorama 2020. We’ve got another Great 8 to show you and this one, too often you don’t see too many old pickup trucks that are going for a Ridler award. So this one being an 1934 Ford pickup truck, it is customized from top to bottom.
If you look at the undercarriage, you can eat off this thing. So it’s a pretty cool setup. I’m loving the dual supercharger set up on top of the engine, you don’t see that too often either but with the fit and finish the styling cues that it has, I think it’s going to be another contender.
It’s hard to pick out the Great 8, but I’m thinking that this old pickup truck might have a shot.
Slick & Silver 1934 Ford Altered Pickup
Jerry Logan is the owner and designer of this beautiful 1934 Ford pickup truck. Built by Richardson Custom Autobody. The cab has a 4 inch chop and a 2 inch channel over a pair of frame rails. Horsepower for the truck comes from detailed 312-inch Ford Y-block engine topped with a Magna dual-scroll supercharger fed by a modified Borla fuel-injection system. Equally as vintage as the Y-block engine is the Borg-Warner Super T10 4-speed manual transmission, or in the jargon of the ancient past, a 4-speed stick. Truly one of a kind.
