The Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club welcomes luxury car owners and enthusiasts who share an enduring admiration for the legacy of the iconic Rolls-Royce. Whether you already own a Rolls-Royce or are contemplating buying one, this is the club to join for information and fellowship.
It’s also the world’s biggest and longest-running club of its kind. There’s no other car club that comes close to the RROC in terms of Rolls-Royce membership, ownership, events, and club participation. Here’s what you need to know about this prestigious organization.
History of the Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club
Founded in 1951, the Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club encouraged all Rolls-Royce owners to become part of a movement to more fully appreciate British luxury cars. Because Bentley was part of the same company at the time, Bentley owners were also welcome to join and have remained part of the club ever since.
Today, the RROC has members in 50 countries around the world and is more than 6,000 members strong. It has 26 regions and 7 societies that involve various aspects of Rolls-Royce and Bentley fandom.
The RROC mission statement encompasses the following aspects of Rolls-Royce ownership: admiration, enjoyment, preservation, learning practical information, understanding historical information, and maintaining a lifelong appreciation for fine automotive craftsmanship.
The organization’s Annual Meet and Tour is its capstone event. Club members are invited to a massive Rolls-Royce celebration that includes fine cars, fine dining, and an upscale ceremony that highlights the world’s biggest and best Rolls-Royce-related accomplishments.
Things to Know About the RROC
You don’t have to be an owner of a Rolls-Royce to be part of the RROC, but most members own them. The club encourages prospective buyers to join and learn as much as possible about the vehicles before making their first purchases. The RROC was founded on the idea that every Rolls-Royce deserves the best possible treatment.
Many people assume all RROC members must be millionaires, but this isn’t the case. The club represents a diverse demographic of people across the U.S. and around the world. There is no income requirement or other type of financial barrier to joining other than paying membership fees. Even minors under the age of 18 can join as junior members at a reduced rate.
Also, this isn’t just a vintage car club. The RROC acknowledges several classes of vehicles within its ranks, including pre-war cars up to 1939, early post-war cars between 1946 and 1965, cars from eras known as the Silver Shadow (1966-1980) and Silver Spirit (1981-1999), and also newer Millenium vehicles from the year of 2000 and beyond.
Upcoming Events for RROC Members
The RROC Annual Meet and Tour happens each year in a scenic location that’s widely known for welcoming car enthusiasts. The 2022 event will take place in San Diego, California, followed by Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, in 2023.
