2013 promises to be a great year for luxury models. Between some of the concepts seen around the world at auto shows this month, and some of the models that have already been released for the public eye, luxury vehicles are about to get a facelift across the board.
First in the lineup, Lexus debuted the new LF-CC in Paris last fall. The design of the new Lexus focuses largely on eye-appeal. The proportions of the vehicle include a sleek, longer-than-average hood shape, which lead into a broad rear-section of the car. The design is built to suggest power and dominance, although it may do more than “suggest”. The proposed engine in the LF-CC is a 2.5 Liter, 4-Cylinder torque booster. The fuel-saving capabilities, mixed with the sheer power of this engine will bring a new standard to the market of hybrid vehicles, and will put this luxury car at the top of many lists.
Next up, the Aston Martin Rapide S. While this concept is just an upgraded model to the existing 4-door Rapide, the Rapide S is quickly gaining notoriety for it’s “mouth size”. While the new grill is just an aesthetic aspect on this new Aston, the Rapide S boasts a Touchtronic 2 six-speed transmission, which will allow this beauty to climb to speeds of 190 mph – the fastest ever for a 4-door Aston Martin.
The last one to highlight today is the unveiling of the Rolls-Royce concept Wraith. Concept pictures hint at the Wraith’s body style as a fastback, two-door coupe from this luxury manufacturer that will be a nice addition to their repertoire of 6 other luxury vehicles. We don’t know much yet about this vehicle, but coming from the Rolls-Royce name, we expect nothing but greatness.
