1931 Ford Model A Huckster
The Huckster, once a delivery-style vehicle, shines with the elegance of a bygone era. With a wood body and delivery bed, metalwork finished in blue and black, and black hardware accents, it will catch everyone’s eye.
The exterior is made complete with small, but essential details including; a tilt-out windshield, a flying quail radiator cap, a mesh radiator guard, a side mirror mounted on each door, a horn, and dual tail lights.
In the interior, a black vinyl upholstered bench seat is augmented by wood cabin trimming and a color-coordinated floor covering. A four-spoke wheel surrounds all the instrumentation the vehicle needs: a speedometer, an ammeter, and a fuel-level gauge.
When seeing a classic car, you have to wonder: does it run well? This Huckster is powered by a 201ci L-head inline-four linked to a three-speed manual transmission. The 201ci L-head inline-four was factory rated at 40 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque.
This 1931 Ford Model A Huckster sold at auction for $17,850.
1951 Crosley Super Station Wagon
This 1951 Crosley Super Station Wagon reportedly spent fifty years within the same family before being purchased in 2022; a good sign of the reliability and long-lasting appeal of the vehicle. Repainted a cream-toned yellow in 1993, the exterior boasts a split windshield, a driver-side mirror, basketweave rear trim, super fender badges, chrome-finished bumpers and trim, and a split-opening tailgate. This is a classic-looking car of the early 1950s.
Contrasting pleasingly with the lightly colored exterior is a reupholstered red vinyl interior. It features bucket front seats and a rear bench seat. The red is complemented by color-coordinated door panels and body-color metal surfaces. The car is fitted with a heater, an AM radio, and black rubber floor mats. A gray three-spoke steering wheel frames all the expected dashboard needs such as a 70-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. However, the fuel level does not work.
Powered by a 44ci inline-four paired with a replacement three-speed manual transmission, additional work performed within the last year is reported to have included fuel tank replacement and the fuel filter as well as overhauling the carburetor.
This Station Wagon was sold at auction for $16,000.
350-Powered 1959 Chevrolet El Camino
With classic cars, some overhauls and replacements are considered part of the territory. This 1959 El Camino is no different, though perhaps a bit more in-depth. It underwent a multi-year refurbishment and repairs. These included: repairing and replacing metal body panels, refinishing the body in copper metallic, re-trimming the interior in two-tone copper vinyl with patterned cloth inserts, installing a 350ci V8 paired with a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission, and overhauling the suspension and braking systems.
Additionally, the previous owner decided to bring this classic car into the future a little bit with some additions that include: power-assisted front disc brakes, Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, a Holley ignition system, a Weiand intake manifold, and Hedman Hedders exhaust headers as well as a fiberglass tonneau cover, a spray-on bedliner, Vintage Air climate control, a tilting steering column, Dakota Digital instrumentation, power windows, and a digital cassette radio.
The melding of the classic and the new was also what the original look of the car was intended to emulate. With sleek lines and an originally Frost Blue exterior, the vehicle now sports a two-tone copper metallic paint job. The exterior matches the interior with a split folding bench seat re-trimmed in two-tone copper vinyl upholstery. Patterned cloth inserts and color-coordinated door panels complete the look.
This Chevrolet Camino sold at auction for $61,000.
30-Years-Owned 1957 Triumph TR3
Sometimes it’s not just about the car but the journey it takes with an owner. This 1957 Triumph underwent a multiyear refurbishment before finding its owner of 30 years in 1993. In addition to repainting and cosmetic work, the vehicle also reportedly included rebuilding the carburetors and distributor, cleaning the fuel tank, resurfacing the front brake discs, and replacing the front calipers, master cylinders, rear brake cylinders, brake lines, clutch slave cylinder, and battery. With this level of work, it’s not surprising the owner found it a stalwart companion for three decades.Repainted in candy cherry red, the vehicle’s exterior shines alongside its black upholstered interior. Essential exterior details include chrome front bumper and rear bumperettes, Triumph-crested hubcaps, rear-fender gravel guards, and wind wings, along with a replacement black soft top and side curtains. This car looks as beautiful as it runs.
Gripping your hands around a banjo-style steering wheel allows a view of Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer and a 6,000-rpm tachometer, while gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dash.
This 1957 Triumph sold at auction for $21,000.
